Biography

Dr. Mia Kim Williams is an accomplished scholar in the field of Learning, Design, and Technology. She earned her Ph.D. from Arizona State University, where her research laid the foundation for her ongoing commitment to advancing educational practices that bridge disciplinary boundaries and promote holistic learning experiences. Her research interests are at the intersection of technologies, pedagogical practices, and human-centered learning. Her work is driven by a passion for exploring how emergent technologies, including artificial intelligence, can be integrated into educational practices to enhance teaching and learning. In addition to her research, Dr. Williams is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of educators and scholars. She is an active leader in the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Society for Informational Technology & Teacher Education (SITE). Her current projects include game design as critical pedagogy, computer science integration in K12 core subjects, and the influences of AI on pedagogical practice.
