Biography 

Mr. Hill is the Everett D. and Elizabeth M. Lantz Distinguished Professor of Practice in Career and Technical Education. He is an alumnus of the University of Wyoming’s Career and Technical Education program. His primary areas of interest include preparing Career and Technical Education teachers with emerging technologies that align to industry, CTE state and federal policy and funding, and workforce safety training for workers entering industry. Prior to teaching, Mr. Hill worked in the multi-family construction sector.  

 

He taught building trades at the secondary level in Casper, Wyoming at the Transitions Learning Center and the Pathways Innovation Center. He also taught courses at Casper College in the Construction Technologies program. He is an Authorized OSHA Trainer. 

 

Mr. Hill serves as the Public Policy Chairman for the Wyoming Association for Career and Technical Education. He is also the Board President of Wyoming SkillsUSA. 

 

Mr. Hill was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wyoming Association for Career and Technical Education in 2024. He is also the past Teacher of the Year, and Innovative Program awardee from the organization. He has been recognized with the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement award and the 307 Community award.
