Metator nevadensis (Bruner)

Metator nevadensis, a grasshopper of the Great Basin Region, was found in limited numbers in Sublette
County during this survey. They were collected in areas with shrubs or sagebrush.
Adults were collected in late August. Its feeding habits are not known in Wyoming.
The related M. pardalinus is a grass feeder, but M. nevadensis has never been numerous enough in Wyoming to cause damage to rangelands.
