Grasshoppers of Wyoming and the West
Entomology
Trimerotropis barnumi

Trimerotropis barnumi is very similar to T. agrestis. It is known from sand dunes in Utah and other Great Basin states. We collected it
in two different years from the same sand dune in northern Sweetwater County. It probably
occurs on other sand dune areas in southwest Wyoming. Adults were collected on the
15th and 20th of August in an area of open sand and Rumex plants. It is not considered a pest species of grasshopper.
