Community, Tradition and Pride
Philanthropy
Philanthropy is a key tenet of FSL. We strive to make a positive impact on our community through service, fundraising and supporting causes that align with our values and mission.

Leadership Roles
FSL members have various opportunities to develop and hone their leadership skills. Members are encouraged to take part in campus-based and national leadership experiences.
Greek Week
Greek Week is the ultimate time for fraternity brotherhood events, sorority sisterhood events and a dash of some good ol’ competition!
Each spring, council members carefully plan and coordinate a week full of events designed to strengthen interfraternal relationships, promote community growth and support various philanthropic causes. The week is equal parts fun and impactful! With a focus on unity, service and leadership (and, of course, plenty of ridiculous outfits and fits of laughter), it’s a week that brings the entire FSL community together to celebrate and make a difference.

Governing Councils
The UW Fraternity and Sorority community is governed by two councils, each upholding chapter values and enhancing the FSL experience through programs, events and training. Elected annually, council officials serve as a guiding force for FSL, ensuring a positive and impactful community.
Collegiate Panhellenic Council
Our CPC governs four National Panhellenic Council-recognized chapters and two local sororities on UW’s campus. The CPC is composed of one delegate from each chapter, and the council provides opportunities for leadership, scholarship, service, involvement, networking and friendship. We host events like Fall Recruitment, Greek Week and community service, aiming to elevate and grow the FSL community at UW.
Interfraternity Council
The IFC is a proud subsidiary of the North American Interfraternity Conference. Our IFC serves to govern all NIC-recognized fraternities on UW’s campus. The council aims to educate, advocate, and collaborate for the betterment of its member fraternities. Annual activities include Fall Recruitment, Greek Week, community service, speakers and regional leadership conferences.
FSL Leadership

In the fall, new FSL members are selected to participate in this two-day leadership experience.

Each year, elected chapter officers and council members attend this two-day leadership event.

Homecoming
UW Homecoming is one of the most highly anticipated weekends in Wyoming, drawing alumni, students and the local community together for a celebration of school spirit and tradition.
Each year, FSL council members put in countless hours to plan and execute a variety of exciting and memorable events that bring fraternities and sororities together in a spirit of camaraderie. These events are designed to enhance the sense of unity and pride within the FSL community and share that with the rest of Cowboy Nation. From friendly competitions to philanthropic efforts, FSL members play a vital role in making Homecoming weekend a truly special occasion.

FSL by the Numbers
Our FSL council members are committed to upholding the highest standards while fostering growth within our chapters. By organizing a variety of fraternity and sorority events, we are able to engage the UW and surrounding community, creating opportunities to make a lasting and positive impact on a larger scale.
The FSB, under the Dean of Students Office, partners with the FSL Office to oversee Board member selection, training and conduct proceedings to follow proper protocol and ensure fairness in all proceedings.
To guide and assist UW fraternities and sororities to uphold our founding principles and serve as beacons for the university, many FSL chapters choose to follow and adhere to the Standards of Excellence.
FSL Awards recognize achievements like upholding standards of excellence and serving the community. These awards remind us of our founding principles and values.
