Faculty in Scotland

UW in Scotland provides opportunities for faculty research, professional development, and global seminar creation. Every year, faculty build their own careers and create new educational pathways for students in Scotland.

Teaching UW in Scotland

Each year, pairs of UW faculty from different disciplines, and who have trained in the Abbotsford cohort, develop and teach summer programs in Scotland. Their courses typically have a first footprint at Abbotsford, then move across the country. Courses embrace the varied resources of the region through transdisciplinary teaching. Applications should be from pairs of faculty from different disciplines, with a 3-week course in Scotland for majors across the curriculum. Courses that meet general education and disciplinary requirements are preferred.
