At our core, the goal is to acknowledge, act on, and affect maternal morbidity and mortality in Wyoming. To do this, we mean to bring innovations into practice that will improve maternal health.
Direct Clinical Care
Improving access to prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum services; strengthening mental and behavioral health support during and after pregnancy; and enhancing trust and quality across Wyoming’s maternal health system.
Workforce Training
Expanding provider and health-support worker knowledge of maternal health issues, and growing the number and types of maternal health providers across the state.

Enhancing the scope and quality of maternal health data collected in Wyoming, and ensuring its timely analysis for evidence-informed decision-making.
Community Engagement
Raising statewide awareness of maternal health issues and increasing the presence of people with lived experience in maternal health work.
The work we do is a collaborative effort for Wyoming mothers, and for their families. In order to create change at a systems level – ensuring sustainability and statewide reach – our work relies on partnership.
Momentum Wyoming brings together clinicians, community health workers, researchers, policymakers, and the families who've lived through Wyoming's maternal health system to build solutions rooted in what Wyoming communities actually need.

A community of researchers, educators, and students from any college across the University of Wyoming campus who are interested in maternal and child health.
