Course Overview: In this course students are introduced to the fundamentals of legal reasoning and analysis and the basics of predictive legal writing.

Course Materials: See the current Book List located under Scheduling.
Course Format: This course includes four general components: classroom instruction, assigned readings, out-of-class research and writing assignments based on mock legal problems, and individual teacher/student conferences.
Written Assignments: Students are required to complete 2-3 writing assignments during the semester.
Type of Exam: There is no exam.
Basis for Grading Student Performance: The grade for the course is based on the student's performance on the writing assignments.
