Exploratory Studies

Unsure of which major to choose? We get it—many students have been there. That's exactly why UW created Exploratory Studies!

This program isn’t necessarily a major, but it does help you explore academic areas that could lead to your ideal degree. Instead of being labeled “undeclared,” you’ll choose from six broad tracks to guide your journey. As an Exploratory Studies student, you’ll take courses in your track, possibly live with peers in the same area and work closely with an advisor to narrow down your options. It’s a great way to explore your interests without feeling like you're missing out or falling behind.
