Math & Statistics Prerequisite & Test Score Table

How do I know what math course I should take?

"Prerequisite" is a term for "something necessary as preparation for something else." In the case of math placement, prerequisites come in the form of math and statistics course work and/or test scores. Prerequisites help identify the path necessary for students to successfully get from point A to point B. Refer to the table below to determine which courses your test scores qualify you for.

All University of Wyoming students are required to complete one college level Quantitative Reasoning or "Q" course (or test out via ACT, SAT, or MPE) as part of the University Studies Program (USP). Students should discuss which course will meet their degree requirements with their academic advisor.
