MPA interdisciplinary Programs

School of Politics, Public Affairs, and International Studies

MPA + CJ

The Criminal Justice concentration within the Master of Public Administration program (CJ-MPA) is designed for individuals who aspire to take-on the challenges of criminal justice administration and policy reform in the 21st Century. While most graduates go on to leadership and management positions in the government and non-profit sectors, the CJ-MPA is also a good degree option for individuals interested in entering academia.

MPA + NPO

The Non-Profit Organizations focus is designed to give students of diverse backgrounds a common framework for understanding the nonprofit sector in the United States and globally. Students in this concentration will identify and interpret key theories, issues, and challenges in the nonprofit world and will consider the implications for practice. The concentration is built for students interested in pursuing positions with organizations like United Way, ACLU, Amnesty International, and others.

MPA + ENR

The Haub School of Environment and Nature Resources offers a unique major that will add a broad interdisciplinary, environmental understanding to any graduate experience at the University of Wyoming. In addition to MPA coursework, students are able to ground their policy and administrative experience in the cultural, legal, and scientific elements of today's most complex environmental challenges.

MPA + JD

The Masters of Public Administration and Juris Doctor joint degree program is for those looking to launch their career or round out their education with public administration experience. The MPA + JD prepares students for a variety of public sector roles, including leadership, management, and administrative positions in government and non-profit organizations; to instill in students’ public service values and professional ethics; and to promote a commitment to the improvement of government and social institutions in the ever-changing public landscape.
