1).  I joined the research team because of my background working in the healthcare field and my experience observing how type II diabetes is managed by both patients and providers. I wanted to deepen my understanding of the factors that influence diabetes management, particularly how patient and provider attitudes and perceptions impact treatment decisions and outcomes.  

2). My long-term goal is to become a physician. Working with this research team has been a valuable opportunity to strengthen my critical thinking skills, especially in evaluating the broader social and psychological factors that affect patient care. It has also given me meaningful insight into the research process, the importance of collaboration, and helped me to prepare for my future role as a healthcare professional.
