Basic BSN Advising

Whether you're preparing for the Basic BSN or already in the program, we're here to help you stay on track. Basic BSN students are assigned a Basic BSN adviser for academic advising throughout the program, while Pre-Nursing students are advised through ACES. Use advising to plan your courses, prepare for registration and get answers to your questions. You can also connect with a career adviser for guidance on your future in nursing.

Advising typically begins in late October for spring registration and late March for fall registration. Watch your UW email for information about scheduling your appointment.

Career Advising

All Basic BSN students are assigned a career adviser from the Basic BSN faculty. To find your current adviser, log in to WyoWeb and select Student Records > Academic Profile, making sure to choose the current term. Students should schedule at least one appointment each academic year, with additional meetings available as needed. Your career adviser can help you navigate the nursing curriculum, explore career opportunities, consider continuing your education and identify experiences that support SOAR competencies.
