Online first-year and transfer undergraduate students who are admitted to the University
of Wyoming will receive a congratulatory acceptance email with your official UW student
ID and a link to confirming your enrollment. If you have not yet completed your enrollment
confirmation, please follow the steps outlined below.
If you are an online graduate student, the program to which you apply will reach out
to you via email with further information regarding their admissions decisions and

Visit WyoWeb to obtain your username and initial password
For first-time users, visit wyoweb.uwyo.edu to create your WyoRecords account. It's your portal to becoming a UW student!
Click on the blue text in the upper right-hand corner that says Obtain Username and Initial Password.
Create your WyoRecords account
After clicking Obtain Username and Initial Password, enter your last name and date of birth as it appears on your application for admission. Then enter your university W# student ID, which can be found in your acceptance email. Leave the last four digits of your SSN blank. Once you have completed all required fields, click Submit.
Important Note: Your username and password will appear on the screen after your submission, so please be sure to remember and store this information. These are the credentials you will use to log into WyoRecords for the first time.
Log in to WyoRecords and change your password
Log in using the username and initial password you received in Step 2. You will be prompted to create a new, unique password. You may also be prompted to re-enter your username and password. Once logged in, you are able to begin completing your enrollment Checklist! Pro Tip: You may want to bookmark the WyoWeb login screen in your browser for more convenient access to things like WyoRecords in the future.
Important Note: These login credentials will give you access to many tools at UW, so please be sure to store this information securely and keep it confidential.
Confirm your enrollment and complete your checklist
Confirm & Pay Your Deposit
On the left side of the screen, you will see an option to submit a payment for your
enrollment deposit ($300 for online first-time freshmen, $100 for online transfer
students). This deposit is your way to “alert” UW of your intention to attend the
university so that we reserve your place in the incoming class. Please take note of
the enrollment deposit deadlines, as they may change semester-to-semester.
Complete your Enrollment Checklist
Your Checklist items are unique to you, and may include things like updating emergency
contact information, registering for Fall Bridge (if applicable), or orientation requirements. These
items can be completed in any order, but must be done before you may begin classes
during your first semester at UW.
Important Note: For first-time freshmen, the Checklist item Finalize Admissions cannot be completed until you finish your final semester in high school and the Office of Admissions has received your final official high school transcript.
Incoming undergraduate students must confirm their enrollment by June 1 prior to the upcoming fall semester in order to be eligible for any financial aid, scholarships or commitments awarded to them by the University of Wyoming.
WyoScholarships is the system where our undergraduate students will apply for scholarships and claim any scholarships or financial commitments awarded to them through UW. This
must be completed no later than June 1 prior to the upcoming fall semester. If you are a graduate student seeking an assistantship,
please contact your department program coordinator.
Have you filled out your FAFSA yet?
In order to be eligible for federal financial aid awards, students must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application opens every October prior to the upcoming academic year.
To finalize your admissions and scholarships/financial aid, please send final, official transcripts to the UW Admissions Office. First-time freshmen will submit final high school transcripts with date of graduation, while transfer students will submit final transcripts from all colleges previously attended. You can confirm that we have received all required documents by referencing your Checklist in WyoWeb. Transcripts must be official and sent directly from the institution via mail (ATTN: University of Wyoming Admissions, 1000 E. University Avenue, Department 3435, Laramie, WY 82071) or secure e-delivery methods (admissions@uwyo.edu).
Upon submitting your enrollment deposit, an academic advisor will contact you to help you register for courses. Our advising teams can meet with you virtually, so rest assured that you will have the opportunity to ask all the questions you have about which classes to take during your first semester at UW. Onboarding for online students at UW includes attendance at one of our virtual orientation sessions and is required for all incoming freshmen. Transfer students are not required to attend, but are welcome and strongly encouraged to participate.
