The mission of the University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences Continuing Education Group Nursing Continuing Professional Development Program is to provide high-quality, evidence-informed nursing continuing professional development that enhances professional competence, supports lifelong learning, and promotes improvements in nursing practice and patient care. The University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences Continuing Education Group Nursing Continuing Professional Development Program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide nursing continuing professional development for registered nurses.
The University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences Continuing Education Group is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Requirements for successful completion vary by educational activity and are provided in each activity announcement. Depending on the educational format, participants may be required to:
- Register for the activity.
- Attend the educational session or complete the activity.
- Complete required learning activities or assessments.
- Submit the activity evaluation.
Certificates of completion are issued after all activity requirements have been successfully completed. Following the close of the program evaluation, certificates are emailed to the email address provided by the learner during the evaluation process. Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks after the evaluation closes for certificate distribution.
To ensure timely delivery, learners are encouraged to provide a current and accurate email address when completing the program evaluation. If you have not received your certificate after six weeks, please contact the Continuing Education Group for assistance.

The University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences Continuing Education Group Nursing Continuing Professional Development Program is guided by a Nursing Continuing Professional Development Advisory Board composed of nurses representing diverse practice settings and areas of expertise.
The Advisory Board provides valuable insight into emerging nursing practice issues, educational needs and professional priorities, helping ensure that our nursing continuing professional development program remains relevant, evidence-informed and responsive to the evolving needs of the nursing profession.
The Advisory Board also provides recommendations regarding educational priorities, program development and opportunities for collaboration while supporting the continuous quality improvement of the Nursing Continuing Professional Development Program.
