President's Initiatives

The University of Wyoming’s AI Initiative is a bold, people-centered effort to shape the future of our state, empowering citizens and communities to thrive in an AI-driven world. 

The Working Group on Freedom of Expression, Intellectual Freedom, and Constructive Dialogue at the University of Wyoming was charged on December 5, 2022 by President Ed Seidel to “articulate and refine our principles of freedom of expression and to find practical ways to operationalize respectful discourse on campus.”

The President’s Distinguished Scholars Program seeks to recognize outstanding scholarship among faculty in all academic disciplines. 

In alignment with UW’s 2023+ Strategic Plan, the purpose of the Presidential Fellows program is to elevate and facilitate faculty-led projects that advance the university. 

The mission of the University of Wyoming Presidential Leadership Institute (PLI) is to empower our talented staff to become exceptional leaders.
