Chad, a Wyoming native and UW graduate, has spent almost all of his career looking for good stories in Wyoming and finding ways to tell them well as a reporter and editor. As director of institutional communication, he aims to help tell the university's great stories to the campus community, the people of Wyoming and beyond. He's responsible to create and maintain a positive image for UW, both with internal and external constituents. He writes, edits and distributes stories for print and broadcast media, coordinates various university public relations efforts, and assists UW's administration in delivering the university's message to local, state and national audiences. The former editor of the Casper Star-Tribune, the Riverton Ranger, the Uinta County Herald and the Branding Iron, Chad has extensive knowledge of the information business and of Wyoming. He has won numerous honors as a journalist and guided reporters to dozens of state and national awards. When he's not in the office, he enjoys cheering the Cowboys and Cowgirls, spending time with his family, studying Wyoming history, and exploring the great outdoors as a hunter and angler.
