A man in a black shirt with a red tie.

Ron, originally from Valparaiso, Ind., has had a career in journalism that spans every region of the country.  He has been a reporter for newspapers in Indiana, Florida and Maryland; and wrote for national transportation newsletters in Washington, D.C.  He served as editor of Eastern Michigan University's faculty/staff newspaper for more than 11 years before coming to the University of Wyoming.

As a communications specialist at UW, Ron's reporting and writing focuses primarily on the variety of scientific research being conducted by UW faculty. A good portion of that coverage entails UW's involvement with the NCAR-Wyoming Super Computer, which provides a prime opportunity for the university to expand awareness of its economic and environmental contributions beyond the borders of the state.

His interests include physical fitness, travel, photography, camping, hiking, reading and movies. A lifelong disciple of Notre Dame football and Indiana University basketball, he has become a fast fan of UW's men's basketball team. Having experienced many a gloomy Midwest winter, he is grateful for Wyoming's almost-daily sunshine, and plans to explore many of the state's natural wonders and points of interest.
