Wellness Wheel

Wellness Wheel

"Wellness is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence." - National Wellness Institute

Purpose:

The Wellness Center utilizes the Wellness Wheel to identify and understand the 8 interconnected dimensions of wellness which work together to sustain overall health and wellbeing. We strive to integrate the tenets of the Wellness Wheel into all of our programs and activities.

Key Ideas:

  • Strive for improvement, not perfection.

  • We don't excel in all areas at the same time.

  • Focus on making progress in areas that need improvement.

  • Wellness is fluid and changes. You may feel confident in one area today and another next week, month, or even next year.
