Code of Conduct

To ensure a professional, respectful, and productive environment for all participants, this meeting will follow the guidelines below. By joining this virtual meeting hosted via the University of Wyoming Zoom platform, all attendees agree to uphold these expectations.

Professional Conduct

  • All participants are expected to engage in a respectful, courteous, and inclusive manner.
  • Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Please communicate in ways that foster collaboration, professionalism, and mutual respect.

Participation Expectations

  • Keep microphones muted unless speaking to minimize background noise.
  • Use the “Raise Hand” feature or chat to request speaking time or ask questions.
  • Be mindful of time when speaking to ensure all participants can contribute.
  • Only share content (screen, files, or links) that is appropriate and relevant to the meeting.

Inclusivity and Accessibility

  • Treat all participants equitably regardless of discipline, institution, background, or identity.
  • Make space for all voices—avoid interrupting and give others the opportunity to speak.
  • Use clear language and avoid jargon when possible to support accessible communication.

Privacy and Recording

  • This meeting will be recorded by the BioREU LC Chair, and the AI companion feature will be used.
  • This meeting may only be recorded with permission from the host.
  • Participants may not take screenshots or share meeting content without explicit consent.
  • Respect confidentiality of discussions and materials shared during the meeting.

Use of Chat and Breakout Rooms

  • Chat and breakout rooms should be used for constructive and professional discussion only.
  • Side conversations, inappropriate comments, or off-topic distractions are not permitted.

Addressing Misconduct

  • If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:
  • Notify the meeting host immediately through phone (307-766-6747), private chat or email (cokpodu@uwyo.edu).
  • The host reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in inappropriate behavior.

  • Participation in this meeting assumes agreement to abide by this Code of Conduct throughout the event. Our shared goal is to ensure a safe, productive, and supportive virtual environment for all PI attendees.
