The meeting draws together a variety of academics including modelers building economic and environmental models to inform scenarios, and public planners, non-profits, and developers who engage in futures thinking in rural and urban settings. The WyACT team reported on the Snake River Headwaters Futures Report, individual research papers, collaborative papers, and the opportunities ahead for work on the Wind River Headwaters that will bring our team to the frontlines of co-production with Indigenous-led futures engagement.
Jeff Hamerlinck, who is on the Board of the Consortium for Scenario Planning, was also engaged in presentations on geodesign and computing platforms. These technological issues are fundamental to WyACT's effort to integrate climate science and SES models to deliver rich and informed data for effective public access and engagement that facilitates community-driven adaptation planning.
