Graduate Assistantships

**Figures are based upon Academic Year 2025/2025 and are for proposal budgeting purposes only.  For the 2024/2025 Academic Year, please budget an additional 22% for stipends and an additional 10% for tuition and fees. Please navigate to Tuition & Fees for figures outside of proposal budgeting purposes.

Block Tuition 2024/2025

 

Please note: 

1. Graduate students enrolled in 9-12 credit hours will be charged the block rate

2. Graduate resident students block rate = $3,230.00 per semester

3. Students taking more than 12 credits will be charged the block rate for the first 12 hours, and then per credit for any additional hours, based on residency. 

4. Exemptions - fill-time graduate students unable to enroll in 10 credit hours in a semester may be eligible for an exemption to block tuition. An electronic exaption form must be submitted each semester, more details can be found here. 

1. Graduate Assistant stipends may be budgeted at current market rates according to discipline.
2. Tuition and fees for Graduate Assistants are charged at the resident tuition rate.
3. Summer stipends are typically 3/9's of an academic year stipend.
4. It is recommended that graduate assistant costs (stipend, tuition, fees, insurance) be escalated 3% for each year of a proposal budget.
5. Tuition, fees, and health insurance are exempt from indirect cost.
