Radiation Safety Committee
Required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for operation under a type-A broad scope byproduct materials license, the Radiation Safety Committee develops and administers the policies and procedures that control procurement and use of ionizing radiation. The rationale and functions of the committee are further described in the document, UW Standard Administrative Policy and Procedure, Radiation Safety Committee. The RSC meets quarterly, or as needed.

Any NRC notice of violation(s), proposed civil penalties, and/or orders will be posted on the bulletin board outside of the UW Safety Office in Wyoming Hall within two (2) days after issuance by the USAEC and will remain posted for a minimum of five (5) working days or until corrective action has been completed, whichever is later.
