2019 NASA funded Scientific Simulations for their second phase, Phase II, Optimization of Supersonic Jet Noise Using a Reynolds-Averged Navier-Stokes Approach. Abstract

2019 - National Science Foundation recently funded The Local Crowd, a Laramie company, to conduct a feasibility study for $225,000. Abstract

2018 - Scientific Simulations recently won a NASA $121,067 to study the feasibility of Optimization of Supersonic Jet Noise Using a Reynolds-Averged Navier-Stokes Approach.  Abstract

2018 - Frontier Astronautics, a Chugwater company won a $124,944 Phase I from NASA for their feasibility study for an Intergrated Launch Vehicle Booster Using a Rocket Engine with a Combined thermodynamic Cycle.  Abstract

2018 - New Laramie startup, Wyonics LLC won their first Phase I award from the Department of Energy. They will use the $150,000 award to study the Ionic Liquids as Advanced Solvents for the Extraction of Rare Earth ELements form Coal Products. Abstract 

2018 - Air Force awarded a more than $1.39M Phase II contract to Square One Systems Design to develop a Cryo-Vacuum Compatible Positioning System CRP.  Abstract

2018 - The National Science Foundation awarded a $739,183 grant to Teton Composites now called Teton Simulatons for their Phase II Simulation for Structual Integrity of Manufactured 3D Printed Parts. Abstract

2018 - Resono Pressure Systems LLC, a UW spinout company located in Laramie, won a $150,000 Department of Energy Phase I STTR award to develop an Unsteady Surface Pressure Measurement System suitable for Making measurements on Wind Turbine Blades in the Field. Abstract

2018 - GlycoBac LLC, a Laramie company won a a NIH Phase I for $217,385 to engineer a new insect cell line for human-type protein glycosylation. Abstract

2018 - Kennon Products won a $124,992 Phase I for Navy to develop lightweight, compact HALO parachutes and pargliders Abstract

2017 - Sheridan based, Kennon Products won a DoD-Navy Phase II for $942,020 to improve Anti-Ballistic Cabin Liner System for the V-22 Osprey Helicopter. Abstract

2017 - Sheridan based, Kennon Products has won a NAVAIR/USMC Phase I to develop ultra lightweight parachutes and gliders for personnel, cargo and UAVs. Abstract

2017 - Jackson based Imago Pharmaceuticals won their first NIH Phase I grant of $284,424 to study JNK inhibitors to slow or inhibit the loss of neurons and possibly reduce the protein deposits Alzheimer's disease. Abstract

2017 - Kite Farms (AKA Airloom Energy) started on their Phase II NSF grant of $750,000 to further research on their novel wind turbine design; this was supported by a $5K Phase 00.  Abstract

2017 - The team at Laramie based, ESal, LLC won their first $224,740 NSF Phase I award to research a Novel Water Flooding Technique to Enhance Oil Recovery. Abstract

2017 - Andy Hansen and his team at Teton Composites started on their NSF Phase I research project Thermo-mechanical analysis of chopped fiber-reinforced plastics for the design engineer. Abstract

2017 - Laramie based Alpenglow Instruments LLC won a Phase II DOE $1,423,191 grant for the Alpenglow All-Phase Water Probe research project.  Abstract

2016 - Square One System Design, a Jackson based company, was awarded a $224,765 Phase I for DOE for a modular X-Ray detection system based on silicon drift diodes. Abstract

2016 - Kite Farms (AKA Airloom Energy), a Laramie based company was awarded $225,000 NSF for development of a novel wind turbine design. (Award dates: July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017) Abstract

2016 - GlycoBac, a UW spinout, recently received a grant commitment of $939,580 Phase II for the National Institute of Health to continue research on glycoengineeered insect cell lines.  These platform cell lines will be used to produce protein-based drugs, or biologics, include several high profile vial vaccine candidates. 2016 - Alpenglow, a Laramie startup with ties to the University of Wyoming, recently was awarded a $224,919 Phase I award to look at the feasibility of the All-Phase Water Probe. (Waiting on Award Dates) Abstract

2016 - Mark Arnold and the team at Arnoldware received a NSF Phase I award for $149,930 to research developing Adapting Touchscreen Devices for Motion-Disabled Users. (Award Dates: Jan 1 - June 30, 2016) Abstract

2015 - Diane Wolverton and Kim Vincent of  The Local Crowd won a USDA Phase II award for $500,000 to continue their research on enhancing rural access to capital through development of a local crowdfunding incubator. (Award Dates: September 1, 2015 - September 1, 2017)  Abstract

2015 - Kaspars Krutkramelis and Rodolfo Monterroso, co-founders of Pollution Control Technologies, LLC won a Phase II for 1,260, 000 SBIR award from National Institute of Health to continue research and develop prototype work related to safe and cost-effective Hg capture. The team at Pollution Control Technologies, LLC received a $5,000 Phase 00 award to pursue an NIH Phase II proposal. (Award Dates: January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2017  Abstract

2015 - Principal Investigator Lisa Cox and the team at Blue Meadows won a $100,000 USDA Phase I to research the feasibility to develop and commercialize an easy-to-use and affordable FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) process for small farms that will meet FDA standards for dietary supplements.

2015 (May) - Kennon Products of Sheridan just received notification that NASA is funding 124,998  their Phase I research project to develop light-weight, compactable rafts. The proposed research will not only reduce the current weight and size of the rafts but also includes a novel ingress system to assist compromised personnel in getting into the rafts from the water. (Award Dates: June 17, 2015 - Dec 17, 2016)

2014 - GlycoBac will use the six-month $150,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for research to improve the effectiveness of already developed glycoprotein drugs. (Read More)

2014 - Don Jarvis and his team at GlycoBac won a Phase I NIH SBIR grant for $225,000 to develop Glycoengineered Baculoviruses for the Production of more Efficacious Influenza Vaccines.

2014 - Kaspars Krutkramelis and Rodolfo Monterroso, co-founders of Pollution Control Technologies, LLC won a Phase I $165,000 SBIR award from National Institute of Health to research and develop proof-of-concept work related to safe and cost-effective Hg capture.

2014 - Dimitri O. Mavriplis and his team at Scientific Simulations received a $747,441 Phase II award to develop efficient sensitivity analysis methods based on adjoint techniques for multi-disciplinary time-dependent problems for the Air Force. (Award Date: April 15, 2014 - April 14, 2016)
