Confidentiality

Protecting your privacy is of the utmost importance to us.  Counseling records are separate from other student records and cannot be accessed by anyone outside of UCC staff without your written consent.

Exceptions to confidentiality include:

• When a counselor believes you are an imminent danger to yourself and/or others.
• When a counselor learns of abuse to a child or vulnerable adult.
• When disclosure is made necessary by legal proceedings.
• If you are under 18, we need your parent's or guardian's permission for you to receive counseling.
