Thrive 101 is a weekly drop-in group for students who are new to college. Coming into a university environment can feel overwhelming and isolating for anyone, this group is a way to connect with others while learning valuable skills for making your time here at UW successful. Whether you're not sure how to study effectively, not sure how to make new friends, or feeling homesick this group will provide practical skills as well as a safe and confidential place to explore these feelings.

OverThinkers Anonymous
Overthinkers Anonymous is a drop-in group focused on students who experience depression and anxiety. This group will examine the ways anxiety and depression impact academic performance, personal relationships, and self-esteem. By learning new ways of relating to anxiety and depression members will learn how to be more present in their daily lives. You will also have the opportunity to connect with others who experience similar struggles and learn from one another. Come develop new skills to better understand and manage your depression and anxiety with the UCC.

Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal relationships (STAIR) Group
This group will meet for six 60-minute sessions with a therapist and other group members to discuss and practice skills related to managing emotions. This group will help you learn how trauma has impacted your thoughts, behaviors, and moods. You will be able to practice skills to recognize and manage emotions that are affecting your life.
STAIR is not an open group and will require a drop-in meeting with a counselor that best options for you.

Self-Love and Happiness Workshop – register through the UCC
During this four-week workshop, participants will learn about the benefits of self-compassion for themselves and others. Participants will also participate in several guided self-compassion meditations and exercises. These meditations and activities are designed to teach participants how to practice self-compassion and increase their well-being and happiness. What to bring to the workshop: your openness and curiosity.

Find Your Wy"OM"ing: Cultivating Calm on Campus Workshops – register through UW Wellness Center
This four-week workshop teaches skills in mindfulness and meditation. The curriculum-based program will help you decrease stress as well as find more satisfaction in your daily life. Great for beginners and experienced meditators!

Mindful Yoga with the UCC
Feeling stressed? Need a healthy way to cope? Join University Counseling Center mental health clinicians and certified yoga teachers for Mindful Yoga, a special class series designed to help you de-stress and build both inner and physical strength.
This unique practice blends evidence-based therapy techniques with an accessible, all-levels yoga flow. Each class will guide you through:
- Calming Breathwork: Learn techniques to regulate your nervous system and find calm amidst daily stressors.
- Mindfulness Exercises: Explore practices to center yourself in the present moment and reduce anxiety.
- All-Levels Yoga Flow: Enjoy a yoga practice suitable for everyone, regardless of experience.
Dates: 9/4, 10/2, 11/6, and 12/4
