Shape the Future of Ecology and Evolution Today

What would you contribute to the world of ecology and evolution if you could access the combined wisdom of faculty from more than a dozen disciplines that span the earth, biological and computational sciences? What if you could do it in a place as vast and diverse as the great state of Wyoming?

The University of Wyoming Program in Ecology and Evolution (PiE2) offers an interdisciplinary cross-college doctorate that provides the flexibility to curate an ecology Ph .D. program that will prepare you to become the kind of scientist you want to be.

Graduate Assistantships

Pursue research assistantships with faculty funded by research grants. UW also offers teaching assistantships to Ph.D. students in ecology and evolution.

Ecology-Related Seminars

Take part in regular brown-bag seminars, lectures and presentations across disciplines and colleges throughout the academic year.

Travel Funding Support

Apply for graduate student funding to attend conferences and meetings.

Program in Ecology and Evolution Symposium

Present your research as part of an annual student -run symposium.

The Program in Ecology and Evolution provides integrated training in the science of ecology and evolution. The biggest benefit is you have a very large, diverse group of faculty that you can interact with to help you build those ideas and give you those insights to really make a contribution to science.
