About Finance at UW

UW’s flexible, online master’s degree program in finance is designed for the working professional. You can start in the fall, spring or summer, enroll full-time or part-time, and finish in one or two years.

Plus, the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) graduate certificate can be built into the finance master’s program, so you’ll earn both a master’s degree in finance, as well as a graduate certificate in financial planning, at the same time.

The master of science in finance at the University of Wyoming is a rigorous and flexible graduate program designed to prepare students for leadership in financial services, corporate finance and personal financial planning. Built on the principles of modern finance, the program offers a general finance track and an optional Certified Financial Planner (CFP) track. Students complete a minimum of 30 credit hours, primarily through advanced-level coursework, while maintaining a strong academic standing.
