The Online MBA Program is specifically designed for experienced business professionals interested in a fully AACSB International accredited, 100% online program that fits their busy schedules. This program is intended for professionals that are interested in enhancing their understanding of business disciplines and applying them to decision-making in the workplace.

Fall, spring or summer entry options are available. The program consists of 30 credit hours of required coursework. The online MBA program can be completed part-time or full-time in as few as three semesters.

About the MBA Program

The University of Wyoming MBA Program provides a flexible curriculum program ensuring that our students acquire the necessary tools to gain a competitive advantage in today's business marketplace. While continually developing practical business knowledge, students are able to apply concepts to real-world situations. Our small cohorts ensure that students are not just a number. Modestly sized MBA classes allow students to truly connect with their classmates as well as the faculty, fostering an atmosphere that emphasizes team building.

Getting your MBA is a matter of investing your energy and resources (specifically your time and money). When looking for an MBA program, ample consideration should be given to who can provide the highest return on that investment. Our program is affordable, yet highly practical in nature which provides students with the tools to be immediate contributors to the organizations they join upon graduation.

The University of Wyoming MBA Program and College of Business are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. AACSB sets the highest standards of student, faculty and institutional excellence and visits each institution every 5 years for assessment for re-accreditation. Rest assured that an MBA from UW carries a validity of the highest level.

Each candidate who applies to the University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is evaluated individually by our faculty and program directors. We consider each part of the application in a holistic assessment, including the candidate’s reasons for pursuing an MBA, interview responses, prior academic performance, work experience and letters of recommendation.

Students are admitted on a rolling basis with applications evaluated as soon as they are completed. It typically takes no more than two weeks to receive an admission decision.

Degree Personalization

With 30 total credit hours, students have the opportunity to take 9 credit hours of electives to further hone in on the things they're passionate about and make their degree ideal for their situation.

Part-Time or Full-Time Flexibility

Our online MBA was designed to accommodate different schedules. We created a degree that symbolizes flexibility with the opportunity to acquire your MBA on the side of a career and busy schedule or for people who want to be in school full-time.

Experiential Learning Opportunity

Because of the specialized nature of the MBA Program at the University of Wyoming, students have the opportunity to participate in the Jackson Leadership Summit. We find it crucial for our graduates to become immediate contributors to the organizations they join when they successfully graduate from our program. 

 

Online Energy Business Certificate

In addition to earning an MBA, students have the opportunity to add our online energy business certificate to their studies and earn additional credentials. The online energy business certificate is designed for professionals working in the energy industry. The identified courses provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge related to real-world applications within the highly competitive industry. Tailored toward the working professional with a busy schedule, this certificate can be completed in two semesters.

Certified Financial Planner Certificate

Our MBA program offers an 18-credit hour graduate certificate program to receive the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certificate. The program is now available for fall, spring and summer admission and is offered 100% online. Required courses include:

I made the decision to continue my education through the Online MBA program because it's a great way for me to further my education at my own pace.
