About UW's Joint JD/MBA Program
The Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA) Joint Degree at the University of Wyoming prepares students for leadership roles at the intersection of law and business. Designed for those pursuing careers in corporate law, entrepreneurship, consulting and executive leadership, the program allows qualified students to earn both degrees in an accelerated four-year format. By integrating rigorous legal training with advanced business education, the JD/MBA equips graduates with the analytical, strategic and leadership skills needed to navigate complex organizational and legal challenges. Students in the JD/MBA program benefit from a fully immersive, on-campus experience that combines coursework through the College of Law with the cohort-based MBA program in the College of Business. With built-in experiential learning opportunities, including global business experiences, executive networking and applied projects, students gain practical insight into both legal systems and business operations, preparing them to lead with confidence in a wide range of industries.

Students must apply separately to the University of Wyoming College of Law and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Applicants interested in the JD/MBA joint degree must first be admitted to the College of Law before applying to the MBA program. After admission to the JD program, students should schedule a meeting with a College of Law admissions professional to discuss joint degree requirements and next steps. It is recommended that students apply to and secure admission to the MBA program during the first semester of their first year in law school.
