Students must apply separately to the University of Wyoming College of Law and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Applicants interested in the JD/MBA joint degree must first be admitted to the College of Law before applying to the MBA program. After admission to the JD program, students should schedule a meeting with a College of Law admissions professional to discuss joint degree requirements and next steps. It is recommended that students apply to and secure admission to the MBA program during the first semester of their first year in law school.

JD/MBA Program Highlights

Two Accredited Programs

Within the JD/MBA programs, you'll be earning not one but two accredited degrees. The Juris Doctor is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), and the MBA is offered through an AACSB-accredited College of Business, ensuring a high-quality, industry-respected education.

Experiential learning is at the core of the JD/MBA program, giving students hands-on opportunities to apply both legal and business concepts in real-world settings. Through the MBA program’s built-in experiences, such as Guest Speakers with industry leaders, the Jackson Leadership Summit and international business experience, students gain direct exposure to leadership, strategy and global markets. Paired with the Law School's competitions, Student Legal Clinics & Centers, Summer Trial Institute and externships, these experiences ensure graduates leave not only with strong academic foundations, but with the real-world insight needed to lead across industries.

Students in the JD/MBA dual program learn from accomplished faculty across both the College of Law and the College of Business who bring a powerful blend of academic expertise and real-world experience into the classroom. Law faculty are recognized for their strength in legal scholarship, practical training and mentorship, preparing students to think critically and practice effectively in complex legal environments. In the College of Business, faculty experts in areas such as organizational behavior, marketing, finance, strategy, analytics and global business deliver a highly applied, leadership-focused curriculum.
