ENDORSEMENT REQUIREMENTS

Our students consistently remark that their favorite part of the program is connecting with other math teachers from around Wyoming. Every summer, teachers gather in Laramie, WY, to take classes, network and support each other as they advance their careers.

All Wyoming teachers enrolled in this program receive tuition support. Rather than using need-based or merit-based criteria, UW disperses our program’s endowment to all students equally in an effort to make this program as affordable and accessible to our state’s educators as possible.

Our unique STEM degree offers courses that aren’t always found in typical education master’s programs. These courses allow you to bring a fresh take and in-depth knowledge to your classroom.

Why get a master’s degree and a middle-level math endorsement?

There are many reasons teachers benefit from additional education. In addition to bringing new STEM knowledge to your classroom, you’ll learn new teaching techniques and build a network of math teachers from across the state that you can share expertise and resources with. Many of our graduates also advance their careers by receiving an additional endorsement and degree. This often improves teachers’ pay scales and may help them achieve new positions or promotions.

Our graduates have a 100% job placement rate in school districts across Wyoming.

Our program is proud to report that over 90% of students complete the program.

Absolutely! Our program was designed for working teachers and professionals. The flexible schedule allows you to take online courses during the fall and spring, while core courses are in-person during the summer.

Getting your master's degree can boost your teaching career, leading to higher pay, stronger job security and makes you more eligible for leadership roles such as a curriculum specialist, department head or instructional coach. This program will deepen your teaching skills and content knowledge, which can also improve classroom confidence and student outcomes.

“The MMA Middle-level math program offers teachers an opportunity to get a middle school math endorsement and/or Master’s in Middle School Mathematics through courses that offer hands-on experiences, knowledgeable instructors, and can be done with your busy schedule.”
