Ambassador Bios

Grace Baas

Animal and Veterinary Sciences/Pre-Vet

I’m a Laramie native entering my senior year studying Animal and Veterinary Science at the University of Wyoming. After graduation, I hope to attend veterinary school and pursue a career as a rural large animal veterinarian. On campus, I’ve been involved with the Pre-Veterinary Club and the Wyoming Collegiate Cattle Association. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and spending time with my horse!

Courtney Beene

Agricultural Business/Farm and Ranch Management

I’m from Rupert, Idaho, and I’m currently a senior at the University of Wyoming studying Agricultural Business with an concentration in Farm and Ranch Management. After graduation, I hope to build a career in agriculture policy development, working as a representative for an agriculture organization. In my free time, I enjoy walking with my Australian shepherd, Hank, spending time with my roommates, and staying involved in several student organizations across campus.

Emma Berg

Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management

I'm from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and I'm currently majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology with a minor in Rangeland Ecology Watershed Management. After graduation, I hope to work with the Game and Fish Department, focusing on migration pattern research. I’m passionate about the outdoors and love spending my free time backpacking and camping!

Jayce Davis

Animal and Veterinary Sciences/Food Animal Industries Concentration

Jayce Davis is from Gunnison, Colorado. He attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, where he earned his associate’s degree in Agricultural Education and competed on the livestock judging team. He is now studying Animal and Veterinary Science with a minor in Environmental and Natural Resources. His long-term goal is to work for the USDA while continuing to compete with the University of Wyoming Livestock Judging Team.

Savannah Fagan

Human Development and Family Sciences/Secondary Career & Technical Education

Savannah Fagan is from Encampment, Wyoming, and aspires to become a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher. She is majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences with a concentration in FCS Education, along with a concurrent major in Career and Technical Education. She plays club softball and enjoys baking, sewing, and reading in her free time.

Ray Heffley

Physiology

I’m originally from Colorado Springs and currently pursuing a degree in Physiology with minors in Honors and History. After graduation, I hope to attend medical school and work toward becoming a gynecologist, where I can help support women’s health and well-being! Outside of academics, I enjoy spending my free time baking, experimenting with new recipes, and playing card games with friends.

Ashley Kisicki

Animal and Veterinary Sciences/Equine Concentration

Ashley Kisicki is from Cheyenne, Wyoming and is currently a junior studying Animal and Veterinary Science with an Equine Concentration. Outside of her academics, she can often be found on the back of a horse or spending time with her family. After graduation, Ashley plans to return home to work under a licensed veterinarian, with the goal of attending equine dentistry or chiropractic school to further her knowledge.

MaRynne Robertson

Physiology

I'm from Loveland, CO, and I'm currently studying Physiology with a minor in Sociology. After graduating from UW, I hope to continue my academic journey in Bethesda, Maryland, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), where I plan to pursue a career in military medicine through the United States Navy. Outside of academics, I enjoy swing and line dancing with CCSC, as well as hiking, running, and swimming. Go Pokes!

Agriculture Communications

I'm from Warden, a small town in Eastern Washington. I'm studying Agricultural Communications with a minor in Journalism. After graduation, I'd like to focus in agricultural advocacy while working as a writer, editor, or journalist. In my free time, I enjoy talking to my mom, reading, and journaling. Kiara Schofield

Molecular Biology/Microbiology

I’m originally from Gillette, Wyoming, and I’m currently studying Molecular Biology and Microbiology. My goal is to attend medical school and pursue a career as an OB/GYN, where I can make a meaningful impact in women’s healthcare. Outside of academics, I love spending time with friends, diving into a good book, and staying active at the gym. I’m passionate about science, community, and personal growth, and I’m excited for what the future holds!

Allie Van Why

Design, Merchandising, and Textiles

I grew up on a ranch south of Chugwater, WY and am majoring in Design, Merchandising, and Textiles with a concentration in Merchandising. I have a very strong traditional agriculture background, and I am very passionate about the wool industry. When I graduate, I hope to enter the wool industry and use my merchandising background to help sheep ranchers market their wool to niche markets and help them get more profit for their product. In my free time, I enjoy playing my instruments, reading, and working on my embroidery projects.
