2027 National Extension Tourism Conference

Community and Extension on the Frontier of Tourism

Join University of Wyoming Extension and the Jay Kemmerer WORTH Institute in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for the 2027 National Extension Tourism (NET) Conference. The 2027 theme centers on community-level efforts and Extension projects that contribute to a strong tourism economy. Tourism is Wyoming's second-larget industry—in 2025, it generated over five billion dollars in direct travel spending and supported 34,000 jobs statewide, anchored by Wyoming's natural landscapes, Western heritage, and community-driven sustainable growth

We're inviting proposals focused on community-level tourism and outdoor recreation development, rural economic development highlights from Extension offices, and sustainable tourism efforts.
