Our Signature Clinical Programs
- RUOP (Rural/Underserved Opportunities Program): Offers early rural clinical exposure through a four-week elective between the first and second years. Students gain firsthand experience in Wyoming’s rural clinics, building awareness of local healthcare needs and rural practice realities.
- TRUST (Targeted Rural Underserved Track): A comprehensive, longitudinal program matching students with underserved Wyoming communities, embedding clinical education with community engagement over multiple years, and tailoring training for rural primary care.
- WRITE (WWAMI Rural Integrated Training Experience): A longitudinal integrated clerkship lasting 16-20 weeks in Wyoming communities that fosters continuity of care and deep clinical learning across multiple disciplines while strengthening ongoing community relationships.
- Wyoming LIC (Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship) Program: Allows selected third-year students to complete the majority of core clerkships in Wyoming’s rural hospitals and clinics, maximizing continuity, clinical depth, and connection to Wyoming healthcare systems.
