Certain trainings in WyoCloud are required yearly for some or all UW employees, more information for those trainings are listed below.
All personnel in positions that store, process, transmit, have access to, or affect
the security of
account data will complete PCI DSS training upon hire and at least annually. More
information on PCI can be found under PCI Compliance.
Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Safeguards Rule, addresses the safeguarding and
confidentiality of customer information held in the possession of financial institutions
such as
banks and investment companies. GLBA contains no exemption for colleges or universities.
As
a result, education entities that engage in financial activities, such as processing
student loans, are required to comply. The University shall ensure all new and existing
employees who are involved in these activities receive safeguarding and compliance
training.
