Below you will find helpful information for faculty.

Courses and instructional materials offered by the University of Wyoming are considered official academic programs and must be accessible under Title II of the ADA. Information about the new accessibility tool can be found on the Yuja Panorama page.

The Ellbogen Center (ECTL) offers a variety of training, support, and resources for faculty.  Instructional support professionals in the ECTL, as well as in Online and Continuing Education want to make your use of WyoCourses successful and efficient. You can contact the instructional support team by email at wyocourses-inst@uwyo.edu or visit their Consulting page to schedule an appointment .

The WyoCourses staff manage course shells and enrollment into courses, along with other behind-the-scenes system administration.

  • For logistical problems with course shells and enrollment, contact the WyoCourses staff by email to wyocourses@uwyo.edu or a call to the Help Desk.

  • To request test shells, incomplete sections, and many other modifications to course shells, fill out one of the request forms.

The university contracts with Honorlock for electronic/online exam proctoring.  Honorlock is integrated into WyoCourses, and can be found under Settings - Navigation, where you can enable it for use using these instructions.  Additonal information on Honorlock can be found on the ECTL Knowledge Base page.

While not a proctoring solution, Respondus Lockdown browser can be used to lock a student's computer, tablet, or Chromebook during an exam to help prevent cheating. It can be added to your course navigation the same way as Honorlock.  NOTE: Lockdown browser has an add-on called "Monitor" that is an online proctoring tool. UW does NOT pay for Monitor, but receives 200 free seats every year as a promotional gesture.  When these seats run out this is an additional cost to students, and the seats can run out in the middle of an exam.  For this reason, all exams that need to be proctored should use Honorlock.

More information for Honorlock and Respondus Lockdown browser can be found in the Table of Installed LTIs.
