Research Interests:
Our lab seeks to uncover fundamental principles of how the brain senses and integrates peripheral metabolic cues to sustain energy balance. We aim to decode the body–brain communication axis, with particular emphasis on gut-derived serotonin (5-HT) and its receptors in hypothalamic circuits. By bridging molecular signaling with whole-body physiology, we aspire to reveal new mechanisms of feeding control and energy expenditure, ultimately identifying novel therapeutic entry points for obesity and metabolic syndrome.
