Enhancing Global Perspectives: 4-H Exchange Program

Got the Travel Bug? Check out the Enhancing Global Perspectives: Wyoming – Mongolia 4-H Exchange Program.

The Enhancing Global Perspectives provides an opportunity for youth participants to host a Mongolian student and travel to Mongolia to learn about Mongolian history, culture, traditions, and the Mongolian ways of life. This program is a true two way exchange where Mongolian students will travel and stay in Wyoming and Wyoming students will travel and stay in Mongolia.

Current members of the Wyoming 4-H program (14-19 years of age) are eligible to participate. The cost of the trip will be approximately $2,600 per person and the Wyoming 4-H Foundation will provide a $1,000 scholarship to each of the 4-H members selected to participate – bringing the cost down to $1,600.  The cost covers the following expenses for participants:  roundtrip airfare to Mongolia, meals, lodging, site visits, cultural activities, transportation in Mongolia, and accident and sickness protection. Applications are due March 31, 2017 and can be found here .

The Enhancing Global Perspectives 4-H Exchange Program is sponsored by the University of Wyoming 4-H Youth Development Program and Mongolia 4-H (NGO).  Contact Warren Crawford, crawford@uwyo.edu, for more information.
