3+3 Accelerated Degree Program

University of Wyoming undergraduate students who have declared a major in energy resource management and development (ERMD) by fall semester of their sophomore year, and who will be completing a minimum of 85-95 credits in the major by the end of their junior year, can consult with their major advisor regarding participation in the 3+3 Accelerated Degree Program.  The program allows the completion of the bachelor’s and the JD law degree in six years instead of the traditional seven.

Students will spend the first three years earning credit toward the bachelor’s degree and the last three completing the law degree requirements.  The credits earned after successfully completing the first-year law school curriculum will transfer back to the undergraduate program for awarding the bachelor’s degree.

During their junior year of undergraduate studies (or the summer prior), interested students must take the Law School Admission Test and apply to the College of Law.  All 3+3 Accelerated Degree Program participants are held to the same UW law admission standards as traditional applicants.
