The College of Business Academic Advising Office (COB/AAO) has an excellent reputation. Our award-winning advisers provide on-campus undergraduate College of Business students and Online Business Administration majors with:

  • Academic advising
  • Adviser signatures
  • Guidance, paperwork, and signatures for changes of major and applications for minors
  • Assistance with academic problems
  • Petitions for UW or College of Business exceptions

Potential students, including transfer students and incoming freshmen, can also arrange a campus visit by calling the UW Visitor's Center at (307) 766-4075. This service will allow you to meet with an Admissions staff member and take a guided campus tour. Once you're here, you can visit with our COB/AAO staff to help you determine whether you want to come to the UW College of Business. A visit with faculty members can also be arranged.

Our business students are assigned to a Career Adviser who will help you plan your career path. You will receive a letter upon admission to the College of Business telling you to whom you are assigned and how to reach your Career Adviser. If you misplace that information, contact COB/AAO.

Economics majors should contact David Finnoff at (307) 766-5773 to arrange academic and career advising.

One-on-One Advising

Karin Sybert works with a student in an Orientation session for incoming students. Our advisers work closely with students to help them complete their coursework and obtain the degree of their choice.
