Research Interests:

Dr. Bisha’s research encompasses the areas of food microbiology and microbial safety of foods. Specific interests include control, detection and ecology of foodborne pathogens. Current research involves development of rapid and molecular diagnostics for foodborne pathogens, sample preparation strategies to improve diagnostics, development and evaluation of microbial typing methods, as well as the study of microorganisms at the single cell level.
