If you want to serve and are looking for a tough, challenging training program at a competitive rate, look no further. Our Cadets are well ahead of Cadet Command averages in multiple areas and we have the second lowest out of state tuition and the lowest in-state tuition. Our first priority is academics, second is physical fitness, third is participation, and fourth is balance…through it all, we strive to have fun. This last year UW performed exceptionally well, finishing at the top of a region of 36 schools and we average 25% Distinguished Military Graduates (DMG) which automatically puts them in the top 20% in the nation. Additionally, we send more Cadets to Airborne School, Air Assault School, Combat Diver Qualification Course, and the WHINSEC Cadet Leadership Development Course than other programs of comparable size.
At the University of Wyoming, we teach Cadets what it takes to be a successful leader in both the military and civilian world and have both in our alumni ranks. In addition to our ROTC curriculum, we also offer opportunities to participate in a multitude of special teams like the Army 10 Miler, Bataan, Ranger Challenge, Mounted Color Guard, and to participate in our own unique Posse Club that conducts, amongst other things, search and rescue operations with the local sheriff's department.
For the outdoor enthusiasts, the local area offers great hunting, fishing, skiing, and rock climbing. In short....the best training at the best University in the best state......we have it all. Army ROTC at the University of Wyoming is unique and challenging. It is the fourth oldest ROTC program in the country with outstanding, individualized instruction. The goal and purpose of the program is to prepare our students to be the next military and civilian leaders of our nation. Do you have the courage to take the challenge?
