John Paul Scott* -- 1990 Outstanding Alumnus
Bachelor of Science - 1930 - Zoology
The son of John W. Scott, a pioneer member of the UW Zoology Department, this Rhodes Scholar received a BA from Oxford University in 1932 and PhD from the University of Chicago in 1935.
He has enjoyed a matchless career as a teacher, researcher, and much sought-after lecturer. Respected in the fields of psychology and biology, particularly in the area of animal behavior, Scott is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Psychological Association, the Animal Behavior Society, and the New York Zoological Society. He is Regents Professor Emeritus at Bowling Green University in Ohio,
