We study, investigate, and explore water across spatial and temporal scales. We focus on how groundwater interacts with conditions at the Earth's surface.
Dr. Befus leads the groundwater hydrology group in the Civil and Architectural Engineering Department. We currently investigate how groundwater systems respond to hydrologic conditions over glacial timescales and in mountainous and coastal environments.
The groundwater hydrology group is actively involved in the Wyoming Center for Environmental Hydrology and Geophysics (WyCEHG) EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Track-1 project, funded by NSF.
