Ecology Processing Lab (EcoLab)

The Ecology Processing Lab (or "EcoLab") is a multi-functional space for a variety of ecology-oriented students, faculty and staff that work directly in the field.  As groups or individuals return from conducting field work, the EcoLab is a space to conduct processing work such as weighing, sieving, drying, etc.  The EcoLab is located directly adjacent to the loading dock doors on the west side of the Berry Center for convenient access and unloading.  >> Click here for a list of equipment available in the EcoLab.

Shared Space

The EcoLab is a shared space, and as such, users are required to follow procedures outlined in the policy below to facilitate fair and efficient use.

EcoLab amenities include:

• Main room with 6 moveable work station tables, refrigerator, -20 degree freezer, and various equipment.
• Instrument room with work stations, stereomicroscope with fiber optic light and analytical balance.
• Drying room with three drying ovens, shaker table and furnace.
• Fume hood room with two fume hoods, vacuum desiccator cabinet, vacuum pump, solvent storage cabinet, sink and beakers.
• Storage/prep room for short-term temporary storage of samples and field gear during time of EcoLab use.
