97th Percentile for ETS Exam

We ensure that our students have become well-rounded business professionals ready to immediately impact the organization that they work for. This test is designed to measure a student's subject knowledge and the ability to apply facts, concepts, theories and analytical methods practically. Our average exam score puts our college in the 97th percentile nationally!

78% Placement Rate

We are proud to have the Peter M. and Paula Green Johnson Career Center devoted to integrating career readiness components into all of our core business classes. In this way, the students interested in internship and full-time job opportunities can access and familiarize themselves with a lot of resources from their very first day on campus throughout their graduation and even as an alumni.

94% Admission Rate

The University of Wyoming has a unique mission as both the land grand university and flagship university for the State of Wyoming. The College of Business currently encourages almost all students to join the college with a reevaluation period occurring for assurance of learning after students have completed a set of core courses and 60 credit hours.

55% CPA Exam Pass Rate

Our college offers a 4+1 accounting BS/MS degree option where our students are able to start sitting for the CPA exam after 120 credit hours as opposed to the usual 150 credit hour minimum. Many people nationwide have to sit for the exam multiple times so we are very proud that more than half of our graduates pass on their first attempt!

$500,000+ in Scholarships

Each year our college provides students with scholarships whether they be for incoming students, students in particular majors or minors, or just students in the college who are excelling in their studies. Almost all of the scholarships provided by our college do not require a student to apply. They are automatically awarded, helping to decrease the financial barrier to earn a degree.

54% Graduate Debt Free

Due to the low cost of tuition, ample amount of scholarships at the university and College of Business levels, and our active involvement in helping students find strong paid internship and job opportunities during school, many students are able to graduate debt free. For those students with small amounts of debt at graduation, the average starting salary for our students upon graduation is often enough to alleviate the situation.

$70+ Million Endowment

Our college is extremely appreciative of the amount of support our alumni and friends have provided to our students. With an endowment that has market value of over $70 million, we have over $50,000 per student in private funding creating a substantial margin of excellence for each one of our students.

Student Enrollment ~ 1400

Our college has seen steady growth over the last five years, allowing us to offer additional resources and take advantage of economies of scale while still ensuring small class sizes and quality instruction. With average class sizes being around 32, students feel right at home in their classes within the College of Business as they are often similar to their high school class sizes.

73% Retention Rate

An overwhelming majority of the students who start their academic career in our college commit to completing their degree at the University of Wyoming. We retain so many students due to strong collaboration across our campus, an excellent academic advising staff with our college and at the university level, and our university's commitment to access.

40% 4 Year Graduation Rate

Our college is committed to ensuring that limited class space or course offerings never influence a student's ability to graduate on time. Committing to a path that allows for graduation in a 4 year time span is heavily influenced by a student's willingness to focus on taking an average of 15 credit hours each semester. Having a professional academic advising office within our college allows for students to more clearly see what this path looks like each semester as they progress.
