Campus Career Fairs Approaching for Students

University of Wyoming engineering and applied science students can start preparing for the next step at two events in February.
Two job fairs, hosted by the UW Advising • Career • Exploratory Studies (ACES) Center, will take place on the UW campus and are open to all students seeking employment after graduation, or internship opportunities. Companies slated to attend the events include Black Hills Energy, Halliburton, Trihydro and Underwriters Laboratories, along with more than 40 others.
Engineering and Technology Job Fair
The annual job fair for students majoring in engineering, computer science, and tech fields will take place Feb. 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Wyoming Union ballroom.
BIG Job Fair
The BIG Job Fair will be Feb. 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Wyoming Union ballroom. This job fair welcomes all students.
Students who plan to attend these events should bring plenty of updated resumes, dress professionally and research the attending organizations prior to the fair.
“I encourage all students in the College of Engineering and Applied Science to attend these job fairs, regardless of whether they are looking for post-graduation employment or internships,” Associate Director of Career Services Ann Jones says. “The events are invaluable for building multiple job skills, such as sharpening professional conversation and networking abilities, keeping a resume updated and obtaining interviews. Student attendees can make some great connections for opportunities in the future, too.”
Attendees can learn more about the events and career preparation by visiting the ACES website.
