Grilling Safely
Keep foods safe when cooking on the grill. First, keep your grill clean. Before warming it up, scrub it with hot, soapy water.
Just like defrosting meat in the refrigerator, it is wise to marinate meat in the refrigerator. Do not reuse marinade for basting; save and use some of the fresh, unused marinade.
Wash cutting boards and utensils in hot, soapy water and as always, wash your hands.
Use a meat thermometer, just like when cooking indoors. Cooking foods to the proper internal temperature makes them taste better and safer to eat.
