Stan joined the University of Wyoming in May 2005. He started as a Web Developer in the University Public Relations department. He then moved to Information Technology department as a System Programmer before settling in as an Instructional Technology Education Specialist for Cooperative Extension Service in the College of Agriculture. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years as a security force specialist. In the Air Force, he served in a variety of positions, including training and Web development when the World Wide Web was in its infancy. Stan then took a job at Hobart and William Smith Colleges as an instructional technologist. When Hobart and William Smith desperately needed a webmaster, Stan took on the role. He was instrumental in changing the processes for Web development at the colleges, and led them through two major redesigns. Stan has a B.A. in Information Systems management from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in Computer Technology in Education through Nova Southeastern University. When he is not busy building Web pages, he is actively teaching martial arts (Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu), working with the youth in Civil Air Patrol, or attending meetings at the local magic club.
