Matt Liu

Matt is the Director of Debate at the University of Wyoming. He has a Master's degree in Communication from Wake Forest University. He teaches courses in persuasive argumentation in the Department of Communication and Journalism and in the Honors College. He has been involved in competitive debate for nearly two decades, joining the University of Wyoming's staff after coaching multiple national championships at the University of Minnesota and Wake Forest University.  He can be reached by email at mliu6@uwyo.edu.

Lawrence Zhou

Lawrence Zhou is an Assistant Policy Debate Coach and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wyoming. He has a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems with Minors in Philosophy and Marketing from the University of Oklahoma. He currently is the Debate League Director at the National High School Debate League of China, the Co-Director of Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Director of Publishing at the Victory Briefs Institute, and an assistant coach at The Harker School. While attending college, he was the National Runner Up at the 2018 Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl National Competition, advanced to outrounds at the 2016 and 2018 Cross Examination Debate Association National Tournament, and championed the Beijing Language and Culture University in British Parliamentary debate.

Brent Lamb

Brent Lamb is a Graduate Research Assistant and a Assistant Policy Debate Coach at the University of Wyoming. Brent is originally from Kansas City, Missouri and has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. During his time as a debater at Wyoming Brent qualified to the National Debate Tournament twice and made it to the elimination at the CEDA National Championship.
